Taser (Nasdaq:TASR) announced Wednesday it would havethe company’xs new X3 device read y by its annual conference in Fountain Hills on July 27. The Scottsdale-basedf company says the device relies on new technology it has developedr called rotationalpulse drive, which allows the stun gun to alternatwe the electronic current, allowing threer shots. “The X3 is the culmination of over four years of intensse research and development and offersz exponentiallyincreased capabilities, including vastl enhanced data, networking and communication functionality as well as enhanced safety features,” said Rick Smith, CEO and founder of Taser.
Taser has been pumping more money into research and development durinb the past year and has rolled out several productthis year. In the spring, the company released its AXONtactical computer, which can recordc images seen by law enforcement officials and its Evidence.comn site for storing data. Earlier this the company released its eXtended RangerElectronic Projectile, a shotgun-basecd wireless device that has a longerd range than the company’s other products.
